Hello!

I’m Kristen, a thirty-something southern transplant trying to figure out life as a wife and working mom while maintaining some sense of self and semblance of having it all together. I’m excited to share tips, tricks, and favorite finds gathered from friends, family, and my personal experience to inspire readers to infuse a little glamour into the everyday!  Though a North Carolinian for most of my life, I have now landed in Alexandria, Virginia after a couple of years soaking up life in the capital city of the south, Atlanta, Georgia. I’m a new mom, and can’t get enough of my son, Tad. I also share a home with my husband, Ted, and Cavalier King Charles, Nutmeg. Despite my fondness for fashion, design, and anything sparkly, my practical side got the better of me and I began my professional career in public accounting.

I started this blog as way to collect and curate some of my favorite, mostly glamorous things, and to celebrate the art of living well. My taste tends to be traditional with a twist. I would describe my personal style as polished with a hint of glam, mixing classic wardrobe staples with sparkly accessories. I hold a belief that sequins and a full face of makeup are always appropriate, and refuse to let anyone convince me that a handwritten thank you note is out of fashion, or that mascara is optional.
